Responsibilities
- Inspection, testing, repairs and maintenance of alarm systems at commercial facilities in accordance with NFPA, local and state codes.
- Troubleshooting of alarm panels to determine origin of trouble and repair of the same.
- Programming of various panels subsequent to installation activities.
- Other duties may include the inspection of portable fire extinguishers and exit/emergency lights and assisting other technicians as needed.
- Generating computer based reports based on inspection findings.
Job Requirements
- Minimum 3-5 years experience with Fire Alarm inspection, testing, troubleshooting and/or installation.
- A minimum of a High School diploma or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Honeywell/Farenhyt/Gamewell-FCI panels required.
- Plan reading and interpretation a plus.
- Valid North Carolina Driver's license.
- Knowledge of NFPA standards a plus.
- Electrical experience a plus.
- Current NICET certification in Fire Alarms a plus. Applicant will be required to obtain certification within 18 months of employment.
- Good written and verbal skills.
- Tablet/Computer knowledge.
- Must be able to work well on ladders and/or lifts, able to work in crawl spaces and attics, and must be able to lift in excess of 50 lbs.
- Must be able to pass a background check.
