Associated Fire Protection is seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. As a Fire Sprinkler Technician, you will be responsible for installing, inspecting, testing, performing repairs and maintaining fire sprinkler systems, as well as various types of fire protection systems and equipment as needed.

Responsibilities
Essential Functions- including but not limited to:
- Perform installation, testing, repair, inspections, and programming as applicable, on sprinkler systems, and other types of fire protection systems and equipment as needed.
- Troubleshoot fire sprinkler systems.
- Complete inspection reports and repair work orders via mobile device and submit them on a timely basis.
- Ability to read blueprints.
- Pull material for jobs as required.
- Communicate with customers to review work and answer any service, quality or technical questions.
- Other job specific functions may be required depending on level.
- Participate in on-call rotation for emergency service.

Job Requirements
Qualifications, Experience and Education- including but not limited to:
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience working on fire sprinkler systems, or related systems is required.
- Must have or be able to obtain applicable NYC licenses and certifications including, but not limited to COFs.
- Experience working with fire protection and suppression systems is required.
- Perform simple tasks independently.
- Knowledge of local and national fire protection codes.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Computer, phone and tablet literate.
- Well organized, self-motivated, flexible and a team player.
- Must be able to drive to and from jobs and have a valid driver's license.
- Must be able to work flexible hours and overtime as needed.
- Must be able to perform physical and mental functions of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Emergency Service shifts are a requirement for this job.
- Ability to work on Job sites that may include construction sites and other locations where personal protective equipment will be required, and work in confined spaces.
- The position has frequent periods of stress.
- Job sites may include schools, hospitals, jails, pharmaceutical companies and other companies that may require additional background checks and medical and drug screens.
