Job Description
Unity Building Security is currently seeking professional experienced FDNY Fire Life Safety Directors. This is a full-time position, tours are Mon-Friday 4PM-12M Monday - Friday. The primary mission of the Fire Life Safety Directors is to protect life and property through the implementation of the building's fire safety plan including the management of the Fire Command Station. The successful Fire Life Safety Director candidates is required to act as a liaison to the FDNY during emergencies and Building Management, Monitoring lobby traffic during tour.Objective: Ensure the implementation of the property’s Emergency/Life Safety Plan, provide building security, and maintain a professional presence in the lobby.Fire Life Safety Director Location: Class A Office Building, Manhattan Shift: Monday – Friday, 4 PM – Midnight
Hourly rate: $23-$26/ hour (based on experience)

Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Lead lobby operations and maintain visible presence in the building.
- Ensure life safety systems are operational; report any deficiencies.
- Oversee and assist tenants, employees, visitors, and guests with professionalism.
- Monitor and respond to suspicious activity and ensure safety of the building environment.
- Manage building access through card and visitor management systems.
- Conduct regular inspections of fire safety equipment to ensure compliance.
- Respond to emergencies, including elevator entrapments, and provide clear communication.
- Review daily logs, incident reports, and staff training.
- Prepare reports, document unsafe conditions, and follow up on corrective actions.
- Assist with fire drills and staff training on fire safety protocols.
- Perform other safety and security duties as needed.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Valid NYS Security Guard License.
- FDNY CoF F-89
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Security guard license or ability to obtain one.
- Previous experience in security, law enforcement, fire safety, or customer service is preferred.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office and security systems (CCTV, Access Control, etc.).
- Reliable transportation to the job site.
