Our Site Safety Company based in NYC we’re building a pool of qualified Fire Guards (F-60 Certified) to be ready for future projects requiring compliance with NYC Fire Department regulations for torch operations.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain fire safety during torch operations, including welding, cutting, and other hot work.
- Ensure compliance with NYC Fire Code regulations.
- Inspect work areas and ensure that proper fire extinguishing equipment is in place and operational.
- Immediately respond to fire-related incidents if necessary and notify emergency services.
- Work collaboratively with site supervisors and construction teams to ensure a safe environment.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Valid F-60 Certificate of Fitness (Fire Guard for Torch Operations) issued by the FDNY.
- Previous experience in construction safety, fire safety, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to stay vigilant and focused during work hours.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Flexibility to work on-call as opportunities arise.
