The City of Anaheim, CA is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Fire Dispatcher to support Metro Cities Fire Authority operations. This critical role provides 9-1-1 Fire and EMS dispatch services to over one million people in a 200 square mile area.

This is a challenging position that requires strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Fire Dispatcher, you will be responsible for:

  • Training and evaluating communications personnel
  • Developing training programs and manuals to address department needs
  • Evaluating the performance of communications personnel
  • Troubleshooting minor problems associated with the computerized dispatch center
  • Performing the full range of duties of a Fire Dispatcher and/or Shift Supervisor

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Experience in public safety dispatching
  • Responsible journey level fire dispatching experience
  • Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) and enhanced 9-1-1 experience
  • Emergency Medical Dispatcher (EMD) Certification
  • Valid California Class C driver's license
