Education:

  • EHS Management: 5 years (Preferred)

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and implement comprehensive EHS programs, policies, and procedures.
  • Establish guidelines and protocols for workplace safety, hazardous material handling, waste management, and environmental sustainability.
  • Develop EHS training programs for employees, focusing on safety procedures, hazard identification, and emergency response protocols
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to identify potential hazards, assess risks, and ensure compliance with applicable regulations and standards.
  • Stay up to date with local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to environmental protection, workplace safety, and hazardous material management.
  • Monitor and maintain compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Act as a liaison with regulatory agencies, ensuring all required permits, licenses, and reporting are obtained and submitted accurately and on time.
  • Incident Investigation and Risk Management: Lead investigations into accidents, incidents, and near misses to identify root causes and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies to minimize workplace hazards and potential environmental impacts
  • Develop and maintain an incident reporting system, ensuring all incidents are properly documented and analyzed.
  • Develop and oversee waste management programs, including hazardous waste disposal, recycling initiatives, and pollution prevention.
  • Implement strategies to minimize environmental impact, reduce energy consumption, and promote sustainability practices.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate EHS considerations into new processes, projects, and product development.

Job Requirements

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Environmental Health and Safety, Occupational Health and Safety, Industrial Hygiene, or a related field. Advanced degree preferred.
  • 5 years of experience in EHS management, preferably within the aftermarket collision auto parts industry or a related manufacturing environment.
  • In-depth knowledge of environmental regulations (e.g., EPA, OSHA), safety standards (e.g., NFPA, ANSI), and hazardous material management.
  • Familiarity with sustainability practices and a commitment to promoting environmental stewardship.
  • Experience working with regulatory agencies and conducting audits/inspections is highly desirable.
  • Ability to effectively collaborate and influence stakeholders at all levels.

Desired:

  • Certified Safety Professional, Certified Industrial Hygienist) are highly desirable.
  • Experience preferably within the aftermarket collision auto parts industry or a related manufacturing environment.
