Job Title: Lead Tester
📍 Location: Anaheim, CA 92804
💰 Compensation: Up to $30/hr (higher if bringing additional skills like installation/service)
Job Overview:
Company is seeking a Lead Tester with experience in fire alarm system testing and troubleshooting. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of NFPA codes, be able to work independently, and ensure systems meet compliance and safety standards.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct functional testing of fire alarm systems, ensuring compliance with NFPA and local codes.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and report system malfunctions.
- Document test results and generate compliance reports.
- Coordinate with service technicians and clients to resolve system issues.
- Provide guidance to junior technicians as needed.
- Maintain accurate records of inspections and testing procedures.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
✅ 5+ years of experience in fire alarm testing
✅ Knowledge of EST, Notifier, Simplex, Gamewell FCI panels
✅ Familiarity with NFPA 72 and other fire safety regulations
✅ Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical manuals
✅ Strong troubleshooting skills and attention to detail
✅ Valid driver's license and ability to travel to client sites
🚫 Not looking for candidates with experience only in Bosch, Firelite, Potter, or Silent Knight
