
Regional EHS Manager
Job Description
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Regional Safety Manager to oversee environmental, health, and safety (EHS) operations across multiple manufacturing sites. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of industrial safety regulations and best practices, with a proven ability to drive safety culture, reduce risk, and ensure full compliance with OSHA and other applicable standards. This role requires a strategic thinker and hands-on leader who can engage plant leadership, manage safety programs, and proactively identify opportunities for improvement.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Provide EHS leadership across multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations (OSHA, EPA, etc.).
- Develop and implement standardized safety policies, programs, and training across the region.
- Partner with plant and operations leaders to build a strong, safety-first culture focused on prevention, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct regular site audits, inspections, and risk assessments to proactively identify and address safety hazards.
- Manage incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions to drive accountability and reduce recurrence.
- Lead initiatives to reduce workplace injuries, improve ergonomics, and enhance employee engagement in safety efforts.
- Oversee workers' compensation processes, including case management and return-to-work programs.
- Utilize EHS software and reporting tools to track safety metrics, compliance, and program effectiveness.
- Support plant start-ups, expansions, and equipment changes from an EHS standpoint.
- Provide regular reports and safety performance updates to senior leadership.
Job Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- 5+ years of progressive EHS experience within the manufacturing industry, including multi-site responsibility.
- Strong working knowledge of OSHA regulations, workers’ compensation, environmental permitting, and industrial hygiene practices.
- Experience implementing behavior-based safety programs and engaging frontline teams.
- Proficient in safety management systems and tools (e.g., KPA, VelocityEHS, Enablon, etc.).
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence across all levels of the organization.
- Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Health, Industrial Engineering, or related field; CSP or equivalent certification preferred.
