The Set Medics is seeking experienced EMS, fire, and water safety professionals to join our team for production work in and around the New York City area. As a Set Medic, you will provide critical on-set safety and emergency response for productions, including film, TV, streaming, commercials, and live events. This role requires strong medical and rescue skills, quick decision-making, and the ability to operate effectively in dynamic environments.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide first aid, emergency medical care, and health support during filming and production.
  • Monitor the health and well-being of cast and crew members, ensuring everyone follows safety protocols.
  • Respond promptly to any medical emergencies or incidents, administering appropriate care until further medical assistance arrives if needed.
  • Maintain a well-stocked medical kit and ensure that all medical equipment is up to date and in working order.
  • Collaborate with production teams to assess potential health risks and develop safety plans.
  • Document and report all incidents and treatments following industry standards and company policies.
  • Offer advice and guidance on health-related matters, including hydration, sun protection, and managing fatigue.

Job Requirements


Qualifications:

  • Current EMT, Paramedic, RN certification, or similar medical qualification.
  • Valid CPR and First Aid certifications.
  • Previous experience as a Set Medic or similar role in TV, film, or live events is highly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of health and safety protocols for on-set environments.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including nights and weekends, and travel to various production locations nationwide.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in high-pressure situations.
  • You MUST own a fully stocked BLS kit.
