We are seeking a skilled Fire Sprinkler Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fire protection systems and possess the technical skills necessary to install, maintain, and repair fire sprinkler systems. This role requires a detail-oriented individual who can work effectively on construction sites and collaborate with other trades to ensure safety and compliance with regulations.

Job Summary

The Fire Suppression Technician will be directly responsible to perform installation, inspection, test, and maintenance services as detailed within assigned work orders.

  • Monday to Friday
  • Weekends as needed

Ability to Relocate:

  • Maspeth, NY 11378: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities

· Performs routine and complex maintenance and repairs on various fire suppression equipment

· Inspects and repairs wet and dry fire sprinklers and range hood extinguishing systems

· Installs pre-engineered wet and dry chemical system installations

· Preparing accurate and timely service reports

· Conducting service calls which includes system testing and inspections to NFPA 17, 17a, 30 & 96

· Perform semi-annual/annual testing of wet/dry chemical systems per NFPA 17, 17a, 30 & 96

· Perform annual inspection of portable fire extinguishers per NFPA 10

· Tags fire extinguishing equipment to certify equipment has been properly inspected and operational

Job Requirements

Education and Experience

· High School Diploma (Preferred)

· A minimum of 1 year experience in the installation, inspection, test, and maintenance of pre-engineered fire suppression systems and related equipment

· Certificate of Fitness W-96 or obtain within 3 months of hire

· Customer Service Skills

· Must be willing to travel within the Tri-state

· Organization skills

· Possess an understanding of NFPA and building and fire codes

· Multitasking and time management skills
