JOB DESCRIPTION
The EHS Coordinator will provide overall support to Textile Products, Inc. regulatory compliance efforts while nurturing a positive safety culture within the company. This position is responsible for assisting in the implementation and maintenance of safety compliance initiatives and associated documentation in accordance with all federal, state, local, and internal standards and regulations. EHS Coordinator must provide daily health and safety guidance throughout all levels of the organization, practice safe working techniques, and re-enforcing safety policies and procedures as defined by Textile Products, Inc. and applicable regulations. Primary work area will include manufacturing environment/shop floor and office environment.
Responsibilities
Essential Functions

- Conduct structured learning experiences/onboarding and ensure training effectiveness for employees in accordance with Textile Products, Inc. and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare training documents in English and Spanish
- Conduct trainings in English and Spanish (at various dates and times to support manufacturing teams and business needs)
- Administer competency evaluations for the effectiveness of training.
- Assist with the investigation of incidents to establish root cause and corrective action plans with relevant processes. Ensure on-time reporting and on-time investigations compliance for injury/illness reporting, action planning, and follow-up.
- Bilingual/Biliterate EHS contact for internal safety reporting and translation of documents such as trainings, programs, and policies.
- Assist in ensuring employee and facility regulatory and safety compliance by conducting site audits and inspections to identify areas for improvement.
Inspection and testing of various safety equipment Inspection of various manufacturing and storage areas.Management Personal Protective Equipment inventory and re-ordering
- Assist with the coordination of industrial hygiene and other EHS evaluations.
- Participate in company’s emergency response team for any emergency including spills, emergency evacuation, first aid, and etc.
- Support Environmental Health & Safety Manager in administering and maintaining other compliance programs and records (environmental, health, and safety as well as trade compliance) as needed.

- PR certification
- Ability to interpret and apply regulatory standards

- Ability to be proactive, take initiative to increase shop floor presence, self-motivated, well-organized, and resourceful.
Supervisory Responsibility
This position has no supervisory responsibilities.Work Environment
While performing the duties of this job, the employee will frequently be visiting manufacturing sites and areas and may be subject to typical manufacturing hazards (moving pieces of equipment, loud noises, chemicals, and etc.).

Employee must frequently lift and/or move objects up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 50 pounds.Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5 p.m., must remain flexible and open to possible schedule changes in order to meet business needs.Travel
Reliable transportation required to drive back and forth between multiple sites for associated meetings,trainings, and inspections.
- Education and Experience
- Associates or higher degree in Occupational Safety and Health or relevant certifications preferred
- 2 or more years of Health and Safety experience
- 2 or more years of working in a manufacturing environment
- High degree of proficiency in MS Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Additional Eligibility Qualifications
Demonstrate fluent bi-lingual and fluent bi-literate abilities in English and Spanish.Work
