We are seeking a Safety Manager/Coordinator with extensive experience in MTAC&D to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in safety management, particularly in environments involving C3, C5, Track Training, PMG 123, and ADA Projects. This role will involve developing and implementing safety protocols, conducting training sessions, and ensuring compliance with all safety regulations.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and maintain safety programs and policies in accordance with MTAC&D standards.
  • Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
  • Oversee and conduct safety training sessions, including C3, C5, Track Training, and PMG 123.
  • Ensure all ADA project safety requirements are met and maintained throughout project duration.
  • Investigate and report on accidents, incidents, and near misses, and implement corrective actions to prevent future occurrences.
  • Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure safety measures are integrated into all phases of projects.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of federal, state, and local safety regulations and standards.
  • Prepare and present safety reports and statistics to management.
  • Develop and implement emergency response plans and conduct regular drills.
  • Act as the primary point of contact for all safety-related matters on MTAC&D projects.

Job Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Safety Management, Occupational Health, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a safety management role, specifically within MTAC&D environments.
  • Certification in safety management (e.g., CSP, ASP, OSHA) is highly desirable.
  • Extensive knowledge of C3, C5, Track Training, PMG 123, and ADA project requirements.
  • Strong understanding of safety regulations and compliance standards.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively train and educate staff.
  • Proven ability to identify potential safety hazards and implement effective solutions.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and safety management software.

Preferred Skills:

  • Experience with conducting safety training sessions.
  • Knowledge of incident investigation techniques.
  • Familiarity with emergency response planning and execution.
