St. John's Episcopal Hospital is seeking a highly skilled and proactive Fire Emergency Response Associate to join our team. As a key member of our emergency response team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safety of patients, staff, and visitors by executing fire safety protocols and policies.
The ideal candidate will have strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to stay calm and focused under high-pressure situations. You will work closely with the Director of Emergency Management Fire Life and Safety to maintain compliance with healthcare facility fire safety regulations.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to fire alarms and emergency situations.
- Assist in fire suppression efforts using fire safety equipment.
- Support the safe evacuation of patients during fire drills or actual fire emergency events.
- Conduct routine inspections of fire safety equipment and report unsafe conditions.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of fire safety procedures and emergency response protocols.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Associates degree (preferred)
- High school diploma or equivalent
- F-01 Certificate of Fitness
- Familiarity with hospital operations and patient care environments
- Familiarity with fire safety equipment and emergency response protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
