Skilled Safety Management hires FDNY-certified Fire Safety Managers (F-89, F-58) for active NYC high-rise construction projects. Roles are full-time W-2 with weekly pay and full benefits.

Responsibilities
Daily responsibilities
- Daily fire safety site inspection, documented in the FSM log
- Issue and track hot-work permits (welding, cutting, torch-work)
- Verify operability of standpipes, fire extinguishers, exit signage, fire watch coverage
- Maintain emergency egress paths and stair clearances
- Coordinate with FDNY during inspections and incidents
- Train workers on jobsite-specific fire prevention procedures
- Verify combustible storage limits and flammable materials handling
Job Requirements
Required certifications
- Current FDNY Certificate of Fitness F-89 (Construction Site Fire Safety Manager)
- Additional FDNY COFs as required (F-58 fire watch, F-60 supervising flammable liquids, etc.)
- NYC SST Supervisor card
- OSHA-30 Construction
- First Aid + CPR/AED current
