Scutum North America is seeking a highly skilled Senior Installation Project Manager to oversee fire alarm, life safety, security, prime, and design-build projects. This role spans from initial planning through final closeout, ensuring all projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and in full compliance with local codes.

Responsibilities
- Project Lifecycle Management: Manage fire alarm, life safety, security, and design-build projects from planning through closeout. Track scope, schedule, budget, resources, milestones, and deliverables.
- Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the primary point of contact for internal teams, field staff, subcontractors, clients, architects, vendors, inspectors, and contractors to keep projects aligned.
- Inspections & Commissioning: Lead project reviews, site visits, pre-tests, commissioning activities, and FDNY inspections to ensure quality, compliance, and safety.
- Technical Review: Review blueprints, specifications, engineered documents, panel information, and project requirements to confirm field execution plans.
- Field Operations Oversight: Oversee layout, conduit preparation, wiring, equipment testing, parts requisitioning, tool readiness, and job site organization.
- Code Compliance: Support installation, retrofit, service, testing, inspection, and repair work in accordance with NYC Building Code, NFPA, HRFS, and applicable electrical codes.
- Issue Resolution: Identify code, quality, safety, and non-conformance issues; recommend practical solutions and escalate technical or programming matters when necessary.
- Leadership & Mentorship: Supervise, support, and mentor field installers, junior technicians, and junior Project Managers on product lines, safety practices, and project standards.
- Documentation: Maintain precise project records, including work orders, system reports, materials records, commissioning notes, field changes, and final closeout documentation.
- Sales Support: Provide progress updates to management, maintain positive client relationships, and assist the Sales team with walkthroughs and takeoffs.
Job Requirements
Required Education & Experience
- Education: Associate degree in Engineering (or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience).
- Experience:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant project management experience.
- Minimum 4 years of dedicated experience in fire alarm, life safety, or related project management.
Skills & Knowledge
- Project Execution: Strong skills in budgeting, scheduling, risk management, and handling multiple concurrent projects under pressure.
- Technical Literacy: Working knowledge of fire alarm systems, life safety products, electrical theory, circuitry, device configuration, diagnostics, and troubleshooting. EST product knowledge preferred.
- Document Interpretation: Ability to accurately interpret blueprints, schematics, drawings, specifications, and manuals.
- Codes & Standards: Familiarity with NYC Building Code, NFPA, NEC Article 760, ADA requirements, grounding, and bonding.
- Soft Skills: Exceptional leadership, professional communication, negotiation, report writing, and client service capabilities. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
