Responsibilities
As a Fire Sprinkler Designer, you will be integral to the design and implementation of fire protection systems, ensuring safety and compliance with industry standards. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, your core skills in AutoCAD, mechanical design, and system schematics will be essential in creating detailed plans. Your premium skills in software like Revit and NavisWorks will enhance your design capabilities. Additionally, your relevant experience in construction and technical writing will support effective communication and project execution. Job Requirements
Experienced Designer Position 3-4 years
One of the largest fire protection contractors is looking for an ambitious fire protection designer/engineer with at least 3-4 years in the industry, specifically having worked for a fire protection contractor. The candidate should be proficient in AutoCAD, SprinkCAD, HydraCAD and/or similar sprinkler shop drawings design programs that cover drafting, coordination, hydraulic calculations, pipe/materials fabrication. Working knowledge in 3D modeling (Navis, 360 Glue), Microsoft Office programs, including but not limited to Excel, Outlook and Adobe Acrobat. Having basic knowledge of NFPA code to be able to assist with valued engineering is a plus.
