Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspectors perform inspections, testing, and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems and other water-based systems in accordance with all national and local standards. They also supply hands-on training and coaching to entry-level Inspectors.

  • The pay range for this position is $43890 - $75240 / year. The actual wage offered may be lower or higher depending on budget and candidate experience, knowledge, skills, qualifications, and premium geographic location.  

Responsibilities

As a Senior Fire Sprinkler Inspector, you will:

  • Provide inspection, testing, and service for wet, dry, pre-action and deluge fire sprinkler systems; backflow preventers; water tanks; fire hydrants; foam-based systems; water mist systems; and fire pumps per NFPA 25 standards.
  • Complete required documentation including deficiency repair recommendations.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to peers.
  • Discuss noted deficiencies, remedies, and pricing with customers and follow up on corrective actions.
  • Follow and maintain highly structured inspection schedules.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation of all tests performed. Generate reports within Siemens tools and upload to required city municipality websites.
  • Perform service and deficiency repairs on all fire sprinkler system types.
  • Complete service ticket documentation and inspection reports before leaving customer site.
  • Provide instructions to customer personnel regarding proper operation and routine inspections; assist with training.

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of experience performing inspections, testing and maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Life Safety Systems
  • NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level II or state certification
  • On-the-job experience with:some text
    • Reading and understanding design and construction documents
    • Estimating impairment, deficiencies, and service repairs
  • Must be able and willing to use hand tools, laptop, email, smartphone, and tablet
  • Must be able and willing to carry and move equipment and tools weighing up to 75 pounds unassisted
  • Must be 18 years of age and possess a valid driver's license with limited violations
  • Legally authorized to work in the United States on a continual and permanent basis without company sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • High school diploma or state-recognized GED
  • 5+ years of experience performing Inspections, Testing, and Maintenance (ITM) of Fire Sprinkler and/or Fire Life Safety Systems
  • Must obtain NICET Certification in Inspection and Testing Water-Based Systems Level III or state certification within 12 months
