Job Description
Our client is an Electric Utility company located in the Northeast and they are seeking a HSE Manager for their facilities.
Responsibilities
The HSE Manager is responsible for executing and overseeing the company's Environmental, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with various regulations, including air quality permits, water discharge standards, stormwater management, spill prevention, OSHA standards, and hazardous waste management.Key duties include maintaining accurate EHS data, managing regulatory reporting, coordinating with regulatory agencies, and supporting the site in achieving EHS compliance goals. The role also involves overseeing programs like NERC/CIP, conducting root cause analysis for incidents, supporting audits, and assisting with emergency response. Additionally, the HSE Manager will collaborate with operating personnel to improve compliance and reduce risks.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences or engineering, along with specialized knowledge of environmental regulations and experience with Continuous Emissions Monitoring Systems (CEMS). Strong communication, organizational, and leadership skills are essential for managing multiple tasks and fostering effective collaboration within the team and with external stakeholders. The HSE Manager will also support the site during off-hours, including nights and weekends, during outages or emergencies.
