Entry Level Site Safety Coordinator
Note: This role will require travel to various job sites in NC, SC, VA and TN. Per diem is included for travel. Hours for the position will depend solely on when Recore Electric has employees in operation, and actively working at the site.
Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Support Recores ongoing safety culture, through many different facets
Perform Daily record site inspections, with necessary photos or documents
Report and correct any unsafe site conditions or actions
Report/correct/observe any hazards related to other trades
Weekly inventory of necessary safety equipment (PPE, First Aid, Fall protection etc.)
Perform daily needed safety tasks for the benefit of management, such as JSA.
Conduct (or ensure) weekly toolbox talks
Perform/Coordinate any needed training
Daily liaison between General Contractor, Recore Management, and Recore Safety Department
Complete and provide site safety reports as required
Ensure compliance with OSHA, Recore, And site-specific safety rules
Maintain all safety documents, photos, or evidence in a neat and organized manner, for later use.
Assist in the Biannual retraining of Recore employees
Ensure all Subcontractors on site have proper training
Maintain accurate and complete copies of safety data sheets for specific job site
Job Requirements
Requirements:
Possess a valid state drivers license
Possess an OSHA 30-hour awareness card (Construction)
Maintain current CPR/First Aid/AED and Blood Borne Pathogens certifications
Complete OSHA 510 with 1 year of hire date
Complete C-MESH with 18 months of hire date
Willing to travel to specific job site
Ability to use technology such as Microsoft office and other technologies as needed
Ability to be self-directed, and take initiative as needed
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proactive problem solver who can manage difficult situations with positive results
High attention to detail
Be able to stay current on industry standards and best practices
Highly organized.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information
Physical ability to conduct all necessary roles and respond to emergencies
Ability to identify a confined space
Ability to work overtime, as job site or conditions require
Preferences:
Experience as a tradesperson, preferably with electrical
1 year of construction safety experience
Bi-lingual (English and Spanish preferred)
Ability to build and maintain good interpersonal relationships with all parties while still maintaining high degree of professionalism
Ability to enforce safety guidelines while minimizing effects on project
Experience with providing training
Experience with Aerial work platforms, earthmoving equipment and forklifts
