Responsibilities
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Oversee service and maintenance for all customer locations in the New York Metro area.
Provide leadership to the service department - manage group of inspectors and service technicians providing scheduled and emergency ITM services to prestigious commercial and residential customers.
Ensure service vehicles, equipment and employees present a clean and professional image.
Full understanding of contract agreements and be able to enforce the standards set within the agreement.
Update job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading technical publications, staying current with latest fire protection industry trends.
Track jobs running through the service department.
Create cost estimates/proposals at customer request over the phone and in the field.
Determine material needs for service projects and submit to purchasing.
Monitor projects with respect to current status and time and materials.
Schedule and coordinate all repair work including assigning manpower and vehicles.Serve as project manager for all repair jobs, including job setup, tracking, charge outs, times sheets, billings, etc.
Coordinate the flow of activities relating to service work orders and project contracts.
Develop and use advanced planning skills for establishing maximum productivity of manpower, materials and equipment, etc., to ensure jobs start on time, customer expectations are met or exceeded, and hours and materials are properly expended.
Adhere to local, corporate, and OSHA safety policies and procedures; report unsafe conditions and actions.
Maintain proactive, dynamic, and effective communication with customers at all times.
Job Requirements
Required Skills/Abilities/Certifications:
Experience managing mid-sized service department is required.
Thorough knowledge of fire suppression system repair, maintenance and NFPA25 a plus.2years of service management experience, preferably in the fire protection industry.
Clean and valid driver's license.
Ability to travel as necessary.
High school diploma or GED.
