The fire sprinkler fitter is responsible for the complete installation of fire sprinkler systems in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings. They manage specific installation projects assigned to them by the Fire Sprinkler Manager. They ensure the entire installation process is done flawlessly.

- $38/hr. (+) DOE

Responsibilities
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
- Plans, prepares, installs, and maintains piping and plumbing systems composed of various materials; systems may include pipes, pressure and vacuum gauges, pipeline filters, steam traps, and strainer valves.
- Consults blueprints, work orders, schematics, or instructions; creates working procedure based on specifications.
- Gathers equipment and materials for the job.
- Cuts, bends, threads, solders, and fit pipes.
- Attaches pipes and piping systems to walls using brackets, bracket systems, or clamps, cuts or bores holes prior to project.
- Installs various types of insulation and pipe covering; safely removes and properly discards old coverings according to hazardous waste procedures and in accordance with NFPA and OSHA requirements.
- Inspects pipes, testing for pressure and leaks; reports and/or resolves problems.
- Coordinates with manager to schedule machinery maintenance, repairs, and installation to minimize disruption to operations.
- Complies with applicable safety and building codes, regulations, and best practices.
- Maintains records, including safety logs and inspection details.
- Perform other duties assigned by management.
Other Duties:

Job Requirements
Education/Qualification:
- 3 (+) years Pipefitting experience.
- WA State Journey Sprinkler Fitter Certification or equivalent required.
- High School Diploma or GED preferred. Any vocational training is strongly desired.
- Ability to read schematics and blueprints.
- Ability to use a variety of tools, which may include blowtorches, saws, pipe benders.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods standing and stretching to install and repair pipes and pipe fittings.
- Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times.
- Must possess visual acuity required to inspect piping systems and read plans or blueprints.
