Prosegur is looking for a Full-Time Unarmed Security Officers in the New York City area with a strong work ethic and quality customer service skills. Responsibilities
Duties and responsibilities included but not limited to:
- Maintaining a safe and secure environment for customers and employees while providing general Unarmed security duties to our clients.
- Promote safety by being alert to observe, correct, and report any hazards.
- Understand and comply with Prosegur and Client requirements, as well as specific post instructions.
- Participate in training and become familiar with general safety procedures.
- Interact with clients, visitors, employees, and the public in a professional manner.
- This position will require you to be customer service oriented and have basic to intermediate computer skills, as well as effective written and oral communication skills.
- You must be able to perform routine foot patrols, moderate lifting, and work in all-weather elements as an Unarmed Security Officer.
Job Requirements
Qualifications we are looking for
- High school diploma or GED equivalent
- Must be 21+ years or older
- Must have a valid NYS Security Guard License
- Must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience as a security officer in a hospital or related medical setting
- Must have open availability to work all shifts and schedules including weekends
- Must have reliable transportation
- Must have good communication skills
- Ability to stand or walk for long periods
- Must be able to walk/run flights of stairs daily.
- Ability to think clearly during crisis or high-stress periods
- Must be reliable, have a positive attitude, and uphold ethical behavior"
- Must be able to successfully pass a series of medical clearances including a physical as mandated by the NYC Health Dept.
- Must be able and willing to assist medical staff in restraining patients as needed upon request.
