Progressive Safety Management (PSM) is a loss control and safety management consulting firm. PSM provides consultative services in the South East and Mid-Atlantic Region (NC, SC, GA, FL, AL, TN, WV, VA, DC, MD).
Location: Charlotte, NC
Very Independent Role...you manage your time and Client workload
Type: W2 position or as an Independent Contractor (1099)
Responsibilities
Progressive Safety is seeking an Safety and Loss Control Consultant to work on a number of our accounts in many locations across our operations. Individuals will provide clients with health and safety strategic support. Responsible for complex technical work in a wide range of health or safety disciplines to achieve clients desired goals and objectives. Recommends improvements in complex processes, design, procedures, and operating equipment to minimize the hazard potential. Develops and conducts health and safety training, job site inspections, risk control assessments, hazard surveys, etc. Must be client focused and have an entrepreneurial spirit.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, science, health, safety or other related field of study
- Minimum 10+ years of EHS consulting and/or relevant industry experience
- OSHA 500 and 501 Certification
- Must have a solid understanding of Casualty Insurance
- Must have excellent writing and communication skills
- Must be proficient with MS Office Suite
Desired Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in safety and health, business, risk management, other related technical field or business
- 5+ years’ experience in construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, utility, insurance industries
- Possess Professional Certification(s) (CSP, ARM, CIH, CHMM, PMP, etc.)
