We are seeking a motivated and reliable Union Helper to support fire alarm system service operations. In this role, you’ll work alongside experienced technicians to assist with the installation, maintenance, and inspection of fire alarm systems across a variety of facilities.

Responsibilities

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Assist with servicing, programming, testing, and inspecting fire alarm systems
  • Support troubleshooting efforts to identify system malfunctions or failures
  • Replace and install system components (panels, audible/visual alarms, wiring, etc.) under supervision
  • Provide basic technical support to customers, including remote troubleshooting assistance
  • Coordinate with dispatch and management to ensure timely completion of service tickets
  • Communicate job status clearly and professionally to team leads or supervisors
  • Participate in regular fire alarm system inspections
  • Maintain assigned tools, vehicle, and equipment in proper working conditi

Job Requirements

Basic Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Siemens Certification (required)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in the fire alarm industry with exposure to multiple system types
  • Valid Driver’s License (required)
  • FDNY S78 and S98 Certificates of Fitness (required)
  • NYC Site Safety Training (SST) Card (required)
