Job Title: Fire Alarm Technician

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Fire Alarm Technician in Anaheim, CA to join our team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and repair of fire alarm systems within commercial and residential settings. The individual must have a strong understanding of fire alarm systems and electrical industry specifics. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, excellent communication skills, and a high level of professional integrity.
Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain and repair fire alarm systems in accordance with the National Fire Protection Association standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues with fire alarm systems and equipment.
- Perform periodic inspections and tests of fire alarm systems to ensure they are functioning optimally.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Provide training and support to customers on fire alarm systems operation.
- Document all installation, inspection, maintenance, and repair work.
- Work closely with the team and customers to ensure all safety protocols are followed.
- Attend regular training sessions and stay up-to-date with industry advancements and regulations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED required, Associate’s degree in Electrical Technology or related field preferred.
- State of California Fire/Life Safety Technician Certification or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in fire alarm systems installation, inspection, and repair.
- Proficient in the use of electrical diagnostic equipment.
- Excellent understanding of electrical circuit theory and National Electric Code (NEC).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift heavy items and work at heights when necessary.
Requirements:
- Must pass a background check and drug screening.
- Willingness to work on-call, nights, weekends, and overtime when necessary.
- Must follow all safety rules and regulations at all times.
- Must have personal hand tools.
- Regular travel within the service area may be required.
