Responsibilities
Work in close contact with the entire design team.
Comply with company standards and procedures.
Ability to perform site evaluations.
Attend meetings with other clients and consultants.
Create plans, schematics, equipment selection, calculations, systems narrative
Participate in Inter-Departmental Project Management Meetings to allocate firm resources
Survey of existing building conditions
Prepare Reports
Complete all Phases of Design from Schematic through Construction Administration
Preparation of Drawings
Develop project specifications
Knowledge of NYC Filing Requirements & Procedures
Coordination between Architectural & Engineering disciplines
Construction Administration including review of submittals, shop drawings, RFI's, & change orders
Ability and willingness to mentor junior plumbing engineers and designers
Job Requirements
Applicants must have strong project management skills to manage and support the ads ENGINEERS Plumbing & Fire Protection Design team. In this role, you will be responsible for the systems design and specifications for many exciting projects, including but not limited to Luxury High-Rise Residential Condos, Hotels, Retail Chains, Museums and Institutional Projects.
The ideal candidate will have strong leadership skills, a proven track record in team management and a strong background in all aspects of Plumbing & Fire Protection Engineering. This person shall be detail-oriented, possess strong organizational skills, and be a self-starter that can excel with little direction.
Strong knowledge of New York City, New York State, International Building Codes, NFPA & NYC-DEP
Licensed PE and LEED Certification is a Plus.
Excellent Communication & Technical Writing Skills.
Strong AutoCAD and REVIT Skills.
Must Be Authorized to Work in the U.S.
