MG Security Services is seeking Fire Life Safety Directors to provide fire and life safety services for several clients including commercial buildings and medical facilities located in the Midtown New York City area. Applicants must be prepared to perform the following duties and meet the following qualifications:

Responsibilities
Duties and Responsibilities
- Provide a professional level of service to meet and exceed client expectations
- Maintain and prepare all FDNY mandated reports and logs in accordance with and as required by the NYC Fire Code
- Patrol the interior and exterior of the site to ensure the overall safety and security of the facility including, but not limited to inspecting equipment related to fire suppression, fire extinguishers, emergency lighting, exit signs, etc.
- Proactively identify fire and life safety related issues and take appropriate action to address
- Respond to incidents, conduct preliminary investigations, and make required notifications including to First Responders, when appropriate
- Liaison with FDNY and property management
- Serve as the primary point of contact for First Responders in the event of fire and other emergencies
- Prepare Incident Reports, when appropriate
- Perform duty in an MG Security uniform or business attire as approved by the client and maintain said uniform to ensure a professional image
- Collaborate with property management, building engineer, and security for the respective site
- Train fire brigade personnel and coordinate fire drills, as required
- Assist with security related coverage, as required
- Monitor & operate the Fire Panel and articulate clear and concise public-address announcements, as required
Job Requirements
Qualifications and Skills
- Must maintain a current and valid FDNY F-89 Fire Life Safety Director license, Z-89 Certificate of Completion, or T-89 Certificate
- Ability to successfully meet the requirements for and pass an FDNY On-Site examination
- Must possess a valid New York State Security Guard License
- Maintain appropriate qualifications, certifications, and licenses as mandated by the State of New York and the City of New York to work as a Fire Life Safety Director and Security Guard while employed by MG Security Services
- Must be able to stand, walk, and climbs stairs for extended periods of time
- Must be able to conduct interior and exterior patrols with exposure to seasonal elements
- Must have a dependable and reliable attendance record
- Must maintain a drug-free workplace
- Must be customer service oriented and be able to communicate with and direct people entering and exiting the facility
- Ability to prepare written reports based upon incidents occurring at the property
- Ability to make decisions with limited supervision
- Work independently
- Proficient written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to utilize Microsoft Office application is a plus
