Responsibilities
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Fire Alarm Engineer to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a solid understanding of the Edwards product line, fire alarm codes / standards and be proficient in CAD for creating fire alarm riser drawings.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Experience: A minimum of five (5) years of expertise in the design, engineering, and implementation of fire alarm systems, with a solid understanding of industry codes and standards.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in CAD software for creating technical drawings and schematics. Strong understanding of fire alarm codes, standards, and regulations.
- Self Sufficiency: Capable of working independently on projects. Demonstrates strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively, ensuring timely completion of projects and adherence to codes & standards.
- Detail-Oriented: Demonstrates exceptional attention to detail in creating technical drawings and reviewing project documents. Ensures precise system design and accurate implementation, strictly adhering to project specifications and requirements.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to clearly articulate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.
Certification Requirements:
- NICET Certification in Fire Alarm Systems or an equivalent qualification is embraced. This certification demonstrates a comprehensive understanding of fire alarm systems, including installation, maintenance, and inspection.
- EST4 Certification is also embraced. This certification indicates proficiency in the EST4 fire alarm system, covering installation, programming, and troubleshooting. We will send the right candidate to Edwards EST4 training to obtain this certification.
