Responsibilities
The Fire Life Safety Director/Security is responsible for providing loss prevention support for the hotel and hotel guests. This position checks and takes action to ensure that all assets, property and equipment are properly stored and secured. The Fire Life Safety Director/Security keeps logs and submits reports on discrepancies and any issued encountered during their shift, as well as participating in cleaning, general maintenance, event and meeting preparation and guest service activities as requested. Your day-to-dayPatrol the interior and perimeter of the hotel and the property to observe and identify potential safety risks, security risks and undesirable conditions.Respond to emergency situations, including but not limited to safety hazards, fires, medical emergencies and threats to life and property.Comply and promote LodgeWorks standards and regulations to encourage safe and efficient hotel operations.Initiate preliminary investigations into incidents. Documents and reports to supervisor.Maintain regular attendance in compliance with LodgeWorks standards as required by scheduling, which varies according to hotel needs.Write reports and ensure accuracy of necessary documentation as needed.Respond to guest inquiries and requests and resolve guest issues in a timely, friendly and efficient manner.Defuse guest disturbances and escort from the property as necessary.Complete required shift reports and maintain confidentiality of all loss prevention documents.Monitor and distribute visitor and vendor access to the property via visitor badges.Assist supervisor or director in checking alarm, safety and fire alarm systems and closely monitoring security of building doors, service areas, delivery areas and grounds.Assist hotel management in emergency situations by knowing all hotel safety procedures and leading/directing guests and associates to safety.Perform special projects and other responsibilities as assigned.
