Job Details
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced EHS Manager for our Aerospace Manufacturing division. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all environmental, health, and safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety and quality. This is a critical role that will drive continuous improvement in our EHS performance and ensure the well-being of our employees. The candidate will have a strong understanding of the aerospace industry, including ground services, space planning, and composite materials. Bilingual candidates with proficiency in Spanish are highly preferred. This is a permanent position that requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the manufacturing industry.

- Develop, implement, and monitor comprehensive environmental, health, and safety (EHS) programs.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant environmental laws and regulations.
- Conduct regular safety audits and inspections to identify potential hazards and implement corrective actions.
- Oversee hazardous waste management and ensure proper disposal in compliance with regulations.
- Maintain a strong understanding of environmental policies and laws to ensure company compliance.
- Conduct risk assessments and implement risk management strategies.
- Provide guidance and training to staff on EHS matters, promoting a culture of safety and environmental awareness.
- Develop and implement emergency procedures and response plans, including fire safety protocols.
- Oversee machine maintenance and ensure safety standards are met.
- Work closely with other departments to integrate EHS considerations into all aspects of operations.
Job Requirements
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health, Industrial Safety, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in EHS management within the manufacturing industry, preferably in aerospace.
- Extensive knowledge of EHS regulations and standards.
- Experience in conducting environmental audits and implementing corrective actions.
- Proficiency in Spanish is highly preferred.
- Knowledge of space planning, ground services, and composite materials in the aerospace industry.
- Strong skills in risk assessment and management.
- Experience in hazardous waste management and environmental impact assessments.
- Solid understanding of environmental policies and laws.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or Certified Industrial Hygienist (CIH) preferred.
