Here's what you'll need

  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • At least 10 years of AutoCAD design experience
  • Systems design experience with Fire Alarm Systems, Voice Evacuation, Gas Detection, VESDA, Access Control, CCTV
  • NICET Level II certification

Ideally, you’ll also have:   

  • 3-5 years of Revit design experience
  • Knowledge of IFC, IBC, NFPA 70, NFPA 101 Life Safety Code, and NFPA 72 Fire Alarm and Signaling Code
  • Knowledge of Fire/Life Safety systems and manufacturer’s equipment
  • Industrial design experience
  • NICET Level III certification (or the ability to obtain this certification within one year of hire)

Responsibilities

What You’ll Do:

  • Lead the design and drafting of life safety and security systems for advanced facilities.
  • Utilize AutoCAD and Revit MEP to create and coordinate 3D BIM models with architects and engineers.
  • Assist in developing layouts for Fire Alarm Detection Systems, HPM leak detection, Toxic Gas Management Systems, and Security/Intrusion Detection Systems.
  • Ensure designs meet industry standards and client requirements, delivering accurate, constructible solutions.

Job Requirements

What We’re Looking For:

  • Proven experience in life safety systems design, ideally in complex industrial or high-tech environments.
  • Proficiency with AutoCAD and Revit MEP.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work across disciplines.
