Senior Fire Protection Engineer
Job Description
One of our largest and most reputable engineering clients is currently looking for a Fire Protection Engineer who has a background in business development to join their team in New York City.
Responsibilities
The FPE will work with clients including architects and building owners to design and / or review the fire protection features of different buildings. The client is looking for an individual who has a background bringing in new business and ideally can come with a relatively impressive book of business. While the role is technical and hands on, the FPE will be client facing on a day-to-day basis so this position is considered to be a hybrid of both technical and business development. We are looking for someone who has an active FPE certification and strong consulting experience to help take the New York location to the next level.
Job Requirements
Must-haves
- 7+ years of hands-on fire protection (code consulting, fire alarm design and automatic sprinkler design) engineering experience
- B.S. in Fire Protection Engineering
- Experience in business development
- Client facing experience with the ability to coordinate directly with clients on a daily basis
