Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer
Job Description
Impact Fire Services is seeking a highly skilled Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer to join our team in Charlotte, North Carolina. The successful candidate will assist in the preparation of NFPA compliant fire sprinkler shop drawings utilizing AutoCAD.
Responsibilities
The Fire Sprinkler Design Engineer will work under the guidance of the Design Manager to deliver quality products and services that meet or exceed customer and industry standards. This position requires continuous employment for a period of three years, and occasional out-of-town travel may be required.
Key Responsibilities:
- Preparation of fire protection design drawings and hydraulic calculations within time and budget constraints.
- Learning and training on new systems and technologies.
- Continuing to expand knowledge in the field of fire protection through on-the-job training and self-direction.
Job Requirements
The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience in fire sprinkler design and possess strong mathematical aptitude. Proficiency in Autocad 2018 or higher and ability to learn new software are also required. Additionally, excellent written & oral communication skills are necessary for this role.
