Responsibilities
Responsible to supervise and provide hands on installation and maintenance on fire sprinkler systems in accordance with federal, state, and local requirements. 50% of the time is spent out in the field supervising projects and 50% of time is spent in the office ordering parts/materials, participating in progress billing meetings and scheduling in addition to other administrative duties. This is a working supervisory position. Maintain their vehicle in accordance with company procedures and ensure it is clean and organized. Protect the Company’s assets.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
- Prior experience scheduling projects/labor, overseeing projects, ordering parts/materials and progress billing meetings.
- Excellent selling, communications, and customer service skills.
- Scheduling, coordinating, and managing all field activities related to fire sprinkler system installation.
- Overseeing and leading fire sprinkler installation crews, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
- Ensuring all work is performed in accordance with relevant fire codes, regulations, and standards.
- Implementing and enforcing safety procedures and protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Monitoring the quality of work to minimize defects and ensure the system meets project specifications.
- Collaborating with other trades, contractors, and project managers to ensure smooth project progress.
- Identifying and resolving any issues or problems that arise during installation, maintenance or repair.
- Maintaining accurate records of work performed, materials used, and any necessary documentation for project closeout.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Extensive knowledge of fire sprinkler systems and codes.
- Strong leadership and communication skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred, but not required.
- Proficiency in NFPA standards.
- 10 years in the industry with at least 3 years of leadership experience.
- NICET I or II certifications preferred.
DESIREABLE BACKGROUND:
In addition to the above, the most desirable candidate will have:
- Applicable experience either in the fire protection industry or the commercial customer service business in some capacity
- An ability to provide services across multiple product lines skills is highly preferred.
- Ability to learn and comprehend general electrical safety procedures.
