Position Overview: The Project Manager/Estimator will be responsible for managing fire protection projects from inception to completion and preparing detailed cost estimates for fire alarm and sprinkler systems. This role requires a highly organized individual with strong project management and estimating skills, as well as a thorough understanding of fire protection systems and industry standards.

Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of fire protection projects, including planning, execution, and closeout.
- Develop detailed cost estimates for fire alarm and sprinkler system installations and upgrades.
- Prepare project proposals, budgets, and schedules.
- Coordinate with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers to ensure project requirements are met.
- Perform site visits to assess project scope and gather necessary information for accurate estimating.
- Review and interpret architectural, structural, and mechanical plans.
- Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
- Conduct regular project meetings and provide updates to clients and senior management.
- Identify and mitigate potential project risks and issues.
- Maintain thorough project documentation, including contracts, change orders, and progress reports.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Job Requirements
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in project management and estimating, preferably in the fire protection industry.
- Strong knowledge of fire alarm and sprinkler systems, as well as NFPA codes and standards.
- Proficient in estimating software and project management tools (e.g., Bluebeam, Procore, MS Project).
- Excellent analytical, organizational, and time management skills.
- Ability to read and interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- NICET certification in Fire Alarm Systems and/or Water-Based Systems Layout is a plus.
