We are seeking an experienced Fire Safety Director/Security Officer to join our team and provide essential support to our construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with all relevant safety regulations and standards, while also promoting a culture of safety and well-being throughout the organization. This role is critical to the success of our company and requires a dedicated and safety-focused individual who can effectively manage risk and maintain a safe working environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00 - $35.00 per hour

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Preferred)

Ability to Commute:

Responsibilities

Responsibilities

- Oversee all aspects of safety management, including compliance with FDNY, DOB, and OSHA regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections to identify potential hazards and take corrective action to mitigate risks.
- Be familiar with the buildings comprehensive safety plan and procedures for emergency response.

- communicate with all General contractors and sub -contractors for all construction projects.
- Provide training and support to all personnel on site, ensuring they understand and adhere to all safety protocols.
- Manage and coordinate the investigation of incidents, near-misses, and accidents, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrences.
- Collaborate Property Management to ensure that all projects are completed in a safe and timely manner.
- Maintain accurate records of all safety-related activities, including incident reports, safety training records, and worker's compensation claims.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive risk management program, identifying and addressing potential risks to personnel, equipment, and the environment.
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry standards and best practices in safety management, and apply this knowledge to continuously improve safety performance.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

- Proven experience in construction safety management, preferably with a focus on construction site management.

- Experience with risk management and workers' compensation claims.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with personnel at all levels.

- Ability to think critically and make sound decisions in high-pressure situations.

- Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

- A strong commitment to safety and a passion for promoting a culture of safety and well-being.
