Pay: $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Required)

  • Hotel: 5 years (Required)
  • Hospitality: 5 years (Required)
  • Customer Service: 5 years (Required)
  • Security: 5 years (Required)

License/Certification:

  • New York State Security Guard License (Required)
  • Valid F-89 or T89 License (Required)

Shift availability:

  • Day Shift (Required)
  • Night Shift (Required)
  • Overnight Shift (Required)

Ability to Relocate:

  • White Plains, NY 10601: Relocate before starting work (Required)

Responsibilities

Duties: The fire safety director's main mission is to protect life and property. This means planning, developing, implementing and monitoring a fire safety plan that addresses specific fire and life safety systems. To do this properly, the director must know current fire safety code for properties, buildings and other structures.

Responsibilities: The fire director must see to it that emergency procedures are in place for every building or property so that occupants know what to do and where to go in the event of an emergency. The fire director must ensure that plans are adequate and well-developed for safe and timely evacuations and emergency response. The director is also responsible for working with local fire departments and emergency responders to solicit input and support in creating a solid, workable response plan.

Other Responsibilities:

· Performs security patrols.

· Responsible for the safety and security of the hotel guest, employees, and property.

· Secures premises and personnel by patrolling property; monitoring surveillance equipment; inspecting buildings, equipment, and access points.

· Prevents losses and damage by reporting irregularities, informing violators of policy and procedures.

· Completes reports by recording observations, information, occurrences, and surveillance activities, obtaining signatures.

· Maintains environment by monitoring and setting building and equipment controls.

· Maintains organization's stability and reputation by complying with legal requirements.

· Contributes to team effort by accomplishing any ad hoc tasks necessary.

Job Requirements

Education and Training Requirements:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • Knowledge and skill in operation of radio communications equipment
  • Knowledge of computerized security alarm systems & Fire Panels
  • Fire Director must have a NY State Security License & F-89/T89 License
  • Ability to communicate effectively both orally and written
  • Maintain company professional standards
