Safety Manager for Construction and Equipment Shops
We seek a highly qualified Safety Manager to join our team and assist with our Sand & Gravel operations and Equipment shops. The ideal candidate will have a passion for safety and a desire to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Conduct safety inspections of construction sites and equipment shops to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions
- Train and educate employees on safety practices and procedures
- Investigate accidents and incidents and prepare reports for management
- Ensure all safety equipment is properly maintained and in good working condition
- Maintain OSHA / MSHA compliance records and ensure all required documentation is up to date
- Collaborate with project managers to develop and implement safety plans for new projects
- Work with management to continuously improve safety programs and initiatives
Job Requirements
- 5+ years of experience in safety management in construction and equipment shops
- Strong knowledge of MSHA regulations and standards
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to multitask and manage priorities in a fast-paced environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other safety software programs
