Responsibilities

Position Overview

Performs services and inspection work orders on all Big Muddy Protection Group's customers' fire alarm systems, assuring that our standards of quality are maintained during the system repair process. Ensures systems are repaired completely and efficiently per local and national codes. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, assisting the customer on system functionality, satisfactorily completing assigned system repairs, and other tasks assigned by the Service Manager and/or Project Manager.

Essential Functions

  • Responsible for overseeing the entire system repair process of Big Muddy Fire Alarm's systems at the customer site; ensures that the system repairs meet the needs of the customer.
  • Maintains communications with the Service Manager, ensuring the completion of the service request.
  • Maintains a detailed understanding of all local and national codes applicable to the fire alarm systems, including NFPA 72, and ensures systems adhere to applicable codes.
  • Maintains accurate and complete paperwork for each and every service work order; turns in all paperwork associated with the service request per company processes.
  • Maintains truck stock as specified by the Service Manager in order to increase fire-call completion of assigned service calls; provides feedback to the Service Manager regarding changes to truck stock in order to increase first-call completion.
  • Obtains and maintains manufacturer and industry certifications as scheduled by the Branch Manager.
  • Understands and adheres to the service and safety standards developed and defined by the Company's standardized processes.
  • Abides by all company rules and policies.
  • Maintains a favorable working relationship with all employees and managers to promote a cooperative and harmonious working environment in order to facilitate positive employee morale, productivity, and continued improvement.

Job Requirements

Experience

  • Detailed working knowledge of the National Electric Code (NEC) and NFPA 72 (National Fire Alarm and Signaling Code).
  • NICET certification (Fire Alarm Systems preferred).
