Responsibilities
Description:
- Manage and coordinate complex plumbing and fire protection design projects with minimal oversight.
- Oversee project engineers to ensure compliance with codes, standards, and best practices.
- Develop scope requirements, work plans, and budgets for new projects.
- Design and implement plumbing and fire protection systems, including domestic water, sanitary plans, riser diagrams, and schedules.
- Conduct site visits and evaluations to provide clear direction for field solutions.
- Ensure designs meet NFPA, state, local, federal, and insurance requirements.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to less experienced associates.
- Collaborate with architects, interior designers, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
Job Requirements
Skills & Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Fire Protection Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum of 8 years of plumbing or fire protection experience.
- Proficient in AutoCAD.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to travel as needed.
