Company History

Leland Oliver founded Oliver Sprinkler Company in 1957 with a small team of six, operating from his home. Under Leland’s leadership, the firm quickly flourished, securing prominent clients throughout the Philadelphia region. He instilled the core values that define the company: exceptional customer service, competitive pricing, and high-quality products and services, all supported by skilled engineering, fabrication, and installation teams.

As the company grew, Leland’s three sons—Bill, Dick, and Bob—joined the business, taking on leadership roles. In 1975, Oliver Sprinkler Company relocated to its current headquarters in King of Prussia, Pennsylvania. To better serve an expanding customer base, the company continually added new capabilities. These included a daywork department for smaller jobs and routine maintenance, an inspections department, a road department to extend the geographical service area, and in 2003, a Fire Alarm and Security division to supplement the company’s fire suppression offerings before ultimately evolving in 2011 to Oliver Fire Protection & Security.

In 2005, Dave Oliver became the fourth president of Oliver Sprinkler Company, representing the third generation of the Oliver family to lead the firm. Under Dave’s guidance, the company continues to uphold its core values and leverage its expertise to embrace future challenges and opportunities.
