Fire Alarm Field Service CoordinatorThe Fire Alarm Field Service Coordinator position is responsible for providing communication and support services to the applicable technicians and other office staff. He/she will coordinate dispatching of the technicians by receiving and relaying phone calls and emails.The hourly rate for this position is $30.00-$38.00 per hour, depending on experience.

Responsibilities

Job Responsibilities

  • Schedule and dispatch technicians, equipment, or service vehicles to appropriate locations according to customer requests, specifications, or needs, using radios or telephones
  • Arrange for necessary repairs in order to restore service and schedules
  • Relay work orders, messages, and information to/from technicians, supervisors, and field inspectors
  • Confer with customers or supervising personnel in order to address questions, problems, and requests for service or equipment
  • Maintain contact with all technicians on assignment as well as maintain their status and location
  • Enter, update and retrieve information via multiple computer programs
  • Prepares and maintains accurate records and logs of all telephone calls and other records, files and information systems
  • Arrange and maintain various types of records including job files
  • Complete the setup of new jobs/projects
  • Responsible for data and budget entry
  • Manage job billings
  • Performs routine clerical work as required
  • Assist in the completion of special projects; if applicable
  • Accomplish responsibilities as required using business software as approved by WSFP
  • Other duties as assigned

Job Requirements

Job Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in the fire protection industry or related industry
  • Good computer skills with working knowledge of Microsoft products such as Outlook, Word and Excel
  • Knowledge of Glenwood Springs, CO and the surrounding area
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in multi-tasking
  • Able to function and thrive in a fast-paced environment
  • Puts forth a courteous, friendly, helpful attitude at all times when answering the phones and dealing with both other associates and customers
  • Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen test and background check
