Seeking qualified construction professionals for two key positions supporting a major federal/USACE military construction project involving new facilities, sitework, utilities, HVAC, electrical/mechanical systems, fire protection, security/access control, and related infrastructure.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Implement, manage, and enforce the project APP and site-specific safety program.
  • Ensure compliance with EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and applicable safety requirements.
  • Prepare, review, coordinate, and maintain Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs) before work begins.
  • Ensure AHAs are properly signed by required project personnel and maintain employee AHA signature logs.
  • Conduct and document weekly trade worker safety meetings and monthly supervisor safety meetings.
  • Perform daily site safety inspections and verify safety controls are implemented.
  • Coordinate competent-person requirements for excavation, scaffolding, fall protection, confined space, hazardous energy, PPE, and other applicable activities.
  • Maintain safety records including meeting minutes, accident reports, monthly exposure reports, lift plans, hot work permits, and other required documentation.
  • Participate in preconstruction meetings and safety coordination with Government/USACE representatives.
  • Identify unsafe conditions, stop or correct unsafe work, and coordinate corrective actions with project leadership.

Job Requirements

Key Requirements

  • Must qualify as a Level One SSHO in accordance with EM 385-1-1 and contract requirements.
  • Must meet applicable EM 385-1-1 training and experience requirements.
  • Experience implementing and administering a Contractor Safety Program and accepted Accident Prevention Plan (APP).
  • Strong knowledge of EM 385-1-1, OSHA, and applicable federal, state, and local safety requirements.
  • Must be available full-time on site whenever construction work is being performed or provide an approved equally qualified alternate SSHO.
  • Must communicate effectively in English and maintain accurate safety documentation.
  • Ability to coordinate with Project Managers, Superintendents, QC Managers, subcontractors, and Government representatives.
