We are currently seeking an experienced Fire Alarm Inspection Technician to join our growing team in Golden, Colorado. If you’re a motivated, detail-oriented technician who takes pride in your work and wants opportunities for advancement, we’d love to hear from you.Position OverviewThis role is ideal for a skilled technician with strong experience servicing and inspecting fire alarm systems in commercial environments. Successful candidates will have solid technical knowledge, excellent troubleshooting abilities, and a strong commitment to safety, quality, and customer service.This is a full-time, hands-on position operating Monday through Friday with participation in an on-call rotation schedule. Candidates must be local to the Denver metro area, as remote work and relocation assistance are not available.

Responsibilities

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Service, inspect, test, and troubleshoot fire alarm systems in accordance with NFPA standards
  • Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, work orders, and technical documents
  • Communicate professionally and effectively with customers, coworkers, vendors, and AHJs
  • Complete inspections, reports, and technician documentation accurately and on time
  • Utilize laptops, mobile devices, and software platforms including Honeywell CLSS
  • Maintain inventory, stock transfers, and organization of company vehicle and equipment
  • Safely operate hand tools, ladders, and testing equipment
  • Participate in ongoing safety meetings and technical training
  • Maintain compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and applicable codes
  • Support a positive team environment and uphold Vulcan Fire’s professional standards

Job Requirements

Required

  • NICET II Certification or higher
  • Denver Fire Alarm Installer License
  • Strong fire alarm service and troubleshooting experience
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Ability to pass a criminal background check and 10-panel drug screening
  • Strong communication, organization, and time management skills
  • Mechanical aptitude and strong problem-solving abilities
  • Comfortable using computers, tablets, and mobile technology

Preferred

  • Backflow Certification
  • Additional fire/life safety industry certifications or licenses
  • Experience with Honeywell systems and CLSS software
