**RELOCATION PACKAGE IS AVAILABLE FOR THIS POSITION**

This person will have global responsibility in developing product and market strategies for driving growth and profitability for the future product roadmap/vision with the business unit executive commercial strategies. Expand the business with new and revitalized products and lead cross-functional teams through the Product Development Process.

Responsibilities

  • Lead product development strategies that achieve targets of sales, profit, market share, competitive positioning as expected by BOD.
  • Lead the efforts to identify opportunities for value added development opportunities and serve as a champion to bring them to market. Direct and oversee initiatives and projects to revitalize existing product lines as agreed upon with the Product Development team.
  • Develop future product roadmaps.
  • Identify problems in the marketplace that need solved.
  • Disruptive technologies.
  • Understanding of constructive/FP market and what adds value.
  • Make recommendations on the future of FP Market.
  • Coordinate all components of product development programs in conjunction with Project Management and Technology Management
  • Drive the development of an Intellectual Property Strategy for new and existing products.
  • Present at Product Development Council meetings on a regular basis.
  • Monitor market intelligence and competitive landscape.
  • Monitor product profit margins, recommend pricing changes and investments as necessary to achieve desired margin objectives.
  • Develop product training for new product introductions/launch strategy.
  • Provide between marketing, engineering, operations, and sales to drive vision.
  • Lead own product portfolio through the full product lifecycle.

Job Requirements

  • 5-10 years of experience in the fire protection market is a plus.
