Position Overview:
We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented Fire Alarm Technician to install, maintain, and repair fire alarm systems for both commercial and residential properties in Henrico, VA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fire alarm systems and a passion for ensuring the safety and security of our clients.

Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities:

  • Install, inspect, test, and maintain fire alarm systems and associated equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair fire alarm systems, ensuring they are in proper working order.
  • Perform system diagnostics, system upgrades, and programming of fire alarm devices.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes and regulations.
  • Provide excellent customer service while explaining system operations to clients.
  • Work effectively with other team members to ensure timely project completion.
  • Complete all required documentation and service reports accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Stay current on the latest industry standards, codes, and technology advancements.

Job Requirements

Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as a Fire Alarm Technician.
  • Knowledge of fire alarm systems, their components, and related codes (NFPA, UL).
  • Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical manuals.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
  • NICET certification (Level I or II) is a plus, but not required.
  • OSHA certification is a plus.
  • Must pass a background check and drug screening.
