Responsibilities

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Fire Alarm Service Department, ensuring timely response to customer requests and service calls.
  • Supervise, schedule, and support service technicians and administrative staff to meet performance goals and KPIs.
  • Manage service contracts, preventive maintenance schedules, testing, inspections, and repair work.
  • Ensure all work is performed in compliance with NFPA, NICET, and local fire codes.
  • Provide technical guidance, troubleshooting, and escalation support for complex system issues.
  • Collaborate with sales and project teams to identify service opportunities and drive revenue growth.
  • Develop and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive communication and problem resolution.
  • Manage department budgets, labor tracking, and material procurement to ensure profitability.
  • Conduct safety meetings, performance reviews, and ongoing training for field personnel.
  • Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and compliance records.

Job Requirements

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in Fire Alarm Service, including at least 2 years in a leadership or management capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of NFPA 72, fire alarm codes, and industry standards.
  • NICET Level II or higher in Fire Alarm Systems (preferred).
  • Experience with major fire alarm manufacturers (e.g., Notifier, EST, Siemens, Gamewell-FCI, Silent Knight, etc.).
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with service management software, scheduling tools, and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
