Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
- Install fire alarm systems, including wiring, control panels, detectors, and notification devices, following all fire safety codes and regulations.
- Program and adjust fire alarm control panels to meet compliance standards.
- Conduct routine maintenance and testing to ensure proper system functionality.
- Diagnose and repair issues with fire alarm systems, including both hardware and software components.
- Provide clear and accurate documentation for all installations, services, and testing performed.
- Respond promptly to emergency service calls to address system malfunctions.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Experience: Minimum of three (3) years in fire alarm system installation and service.
- Knowledge & Skills:
- Familiarity with systems from manufacturers such as Kidde, FCI Gamewell, Potter, FireLite, etc.
- Proficiency in reading blueprints and wire schematics.
- Strong installation skills
- Certifications:
- OSHA 30 Construction Certification (preferred)
- NYC SST Site Safety
- Other: Must have Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
Working Conditions:
- Work in diverse environments, including commercial, and industrial spaces.
- Perform tasks involving physical activity, such as lifting , bending, kneeling, and working from heights.
- Operate hand and power tools safely.
- Work in various temperature conditions.
