Responsibilities

How You Will Make An Impact

  • Execute the installation and programming of fire alarm control panels and field devices.
  • Perform comprehensive testing and commissioning of systems to ensure full code compliance.
  • Diagnose and repair complex circuit faults and hardware issues across diverse system types.
  • Interpret electrical blueprints and fire safety schematics to route wiring efficiently.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance to guarantee system reliability.
  • Document technical findings and test results accurately for project compliance records.
  • Maintain a high standard of site safety while interacting professionally with clients.

Job Requirements

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • High school diploma or GED.
  • 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in fire alarm system installation.
  • Proficiency with power tools, diagnostic equipment, and multi-meters.
  • Valid driver's license and a history of safe vehicle operation.
  • Strong understanding of NEC and local fire codes.

Preferred Qualifications & Experience

  • NICET Level I or II certification in Fire Alarm Systems.
  • Experience with specialized commercial control systems and government-sector projects.
  • Completion of a formal electrical or fire alarm apprenticeship program.
  • New York State Fire Alarm installer license is a plus
