An I.B.E.W. local union #3 Fire Alarm Company located in New York, NY is seeking a full time Fire Alarm/CCTV Field Technician. This individual will be responsible for the field installation, inspection and trouble-shooting of fire alarm and related electrical system
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- On call
- Overtime
- Weekend availability
Supplemental Pay:
- Bonus pay
Education:
- High school or equivalent (Preferred)
Experience:
- Fire Alarm: 1 year (Preferred)
License/Certification:
- Driver's License (Preferred)
- s-98 (Required)

Responsibilities
Job responsibilities can be broken down into the following:
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Test and Inspect Fire Alarm Systems
- Install and service electronic fire and security systems/ CCTV systems
- Troubleshoot and Repair Fire Alarm Systems/ CCTV systems
- Conducting routine fire testing
- Providing client training on system functionality and usage
- Complete Reports for Inspections and Work Orders for Service.
- Responsible for accurate tracking on time sheets, service/installation tickets.
Job Requirements
REQUIREMENTS:
- An Associate’s degree in electronics is preferred plus a minimum of one year industry experience
- Low Voltage Electronics Experience
- Must be able to work without supervision
- Must maintain a clear professional image
- Ability to work overtime as required and participate in on-call schedule on a rotating basis
- NICET level I or S-98 will be considered as a plus
- Previous experience working with Honeywell systems will be considered as a plus
- Proper Communications Skills Dealing with Customers and Valid clear Driver's License.
